The catering problem
Big orders, long payment terms, and costs that get worked out too late.
Caterers cook hundreds of portions at once, deliver to offices, then wait weeks to get paid. If costs, deliveries, and invoices aren't connected, you only find out your profit at the end of the month.
01The cost per box is just a guess.
The recipe records the ingredients per box, and production deducts them by the quantity cooked. The cost per box comes from the average cost of its ingredients.
Step 0102The boxes went out, but nobody raised the invoice.
The delivery is made from the order, the invoice is raised from the delivery, and the receivable is recorded right away.
Step 0203Event deposits are written in a notebook and forgotten.
The deposit is recorded at checkout and the balance becomes customer credit. The pickup date goes into Schedule.
Step 0404Offices pay late, and there's little cash left for shopping.
Invoices have due dates, and receivables per customer are visible every day.

FAQ
Common questions, honest answers.
We answer plainly, including what Tumra can't do yet.
A good fit if
- You serve offices on payment terms
- You want to know the cost per box
Not a fit yet if
- You need production and shopping plans built automatically from all of next week's orders
- You need delivery schedules and driver routes
01Is there a feature for orders on a set date?
Not as a separate feature yet. For now, the sale is recorded at checkout as customer credit with a deposit, then the pickup date and time go into Schedule, linked to the receipt. Schedule shows the order on its day, along with its payment status.
02When are ingredients deducted for an order with a deposit?
When the sale is recorded at checkout, which is the day the deposit comes in. Stock and cost are recorded that day, like any other sale, not on the day the order is cooked.
03Can it work out the ingredients needed for all of this week's orders?
Not yet. Ingredient needs are calculated per production run you record. The existing production plan suggests quantities from the 14-day average sold minus the stock left, so it suits daily menus, not dated orders yet.
04What if an office pays part of the invoice first?
That works. Payments are recorded against the invoice and can be partial. The remaining balance stays visible in customer receivables and the receivables aging until it's paid off.
05Can I print delivery notes?
Yes. Every delivery has a delivery note you can print from the browser or save as a PDF, with the goods, quantities, carrier, vehicle number, and delivery address.
06Can I plan delivery schedules and drivers?
Not yet. On a delivery you can fill in the carrier, vehicle number, and delivery address, but delivery schedules, driver assignments, and routes aren't available yet.
