Project & billing app for architecture firms
Every design stage has its own instalment and schedule.
Follow one day at Studio Ruang. The pre-design milestone for Pak Hartono's house is done in the Gantt chart, the second instalment of Rp 13,500,000 is billed, and the print and PBG permit costs paid upfront are waiting to be billed back.

The problem at architecture firms
Projects run for months, and instalments and hours slip out of hand.
One house goes through concept, pre-design, working drawings, and supervision. When stages, drafters' hours, and instalments are tracked separately, instalments get billed late and print costs never come back.
01Nobody is sure which stage is finished.
Every project's milestones and tasks show in Gantt and Kanban.
Step 0102Instalments are billed long after the stage ends.
The fee is split by milestone, and the unbilled remainder is always visible.
Step 0303Drafters' hours overrun the plan unnoticed.
Hours are logged per task and compared with the agreed hours.
Step 0204Print and permit costs get paid upfront and forgotten.
Costs in the client's name wait in "Unbilled costs" until they are billed.

Simulation · One day at Studio Ruang
One working day, from working drawings to a billed instalment.
Studio Ruang uses the Professional Plus plan with three users. The fee for Pak Hartono's house is Rp 45,000,000, set up as four milestones, each with its own fee: concept 20%, pre-design 30%, working drawings 40%, supervision 10%. Every number below is what appears on the Tumra screen.

FAQ
Common questions, honest answers.
We answer straight, including what Tumra can't do yet.
A good fit if
- You bill by design stage
- You pay print and permit costs upfront for clients
Not a fit yet if
- You need cost estimates (RAB/BoQ) or drawing file storage
- You need quotes from the same app
01Can the fee be a percentage of the building value?
Not automatically. Work out the fee yourself, then enter it as the project value or as fees per milestone. Tumra makes sure what you bill never exceeds that fee and always shows what is left.
02Is there a RAB or BoQ?
Not yet. Tumra doesn't prepare a RAB (cost estimate), BoQ, or quantity take-offs. It records your service fees, your team's hours, and the costs you pay upfront for clients.
03Can I store drawing files?
Not yet. Project and task assets are links, for example to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder of working drawings, organised into groups. Comments can carry file links too.
04My firm isn't VAT-registered (PKP) yet. Can I still use Tumra?
Yes. As long as no tax type is selected, VAT doesn't appear on the invoice, like Studio Ruang's instalment invoice above. Once the firm is registered as a PKP, create a VAT (PPN) tax type in Settings → Tax and select it on the next invoice.
05Can clients see project progress?
Yes, on Professional Plus and Professional Pro. Contacts invited to the client portal see the project, its tasks and schedule in the Gantt chart, and issued invoices. Non-billable tasks, hidden projects or tasks, and "Team only" comments stay hidden.
06Can I create quotes?
Not on the Professional plans yet. Quotes come with plans that sell goods, such as Integrated. On Professional, the agreed amount is recorded as the project value or fees per milestone, and the quote document is made outside Tumra.
